The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival that symbolizes and the pursuit of brightness, representing the most poetic and romantic moment in Chinese culture. This exhibition aims to gather renowned artists from around the world who have made outstanding contributions in the field calligraphy and painting. 杜素平，出生于广东汕头。出身于书香门第，自幼受其祖父杜汉章(上海美专毕业，岭东美术社发启人之一)的影响，酷爱书画，常以练习，不断精进，传承家风。 先后结业于中国画院和及象书画院首届研修班，师从欧阳青墨、寒山、澄怀、若明等老师。又师从齐白石第三代传人国画大师李树宝先生，国画大师于万福、赵春秋以及孟昭和先生。现为中国书画家联谊会会员，中国民族建筑研究会书画艺术专业委员会会员，华夏国艺（北京）书画艺术中心会员，香港美术家协会会员。2024年被闪耀盛世书画宝鉴编委会授予“特邀艺术家”荣誉称号，2025年为《非遗文化》编委会编委。国画作品入编《民族脊梁一一当代书画名家精品选》、《走向世界的国礼艺术家》、《第二十三届中国民族建筑研究年会会刊》、《中国民族建筑研究会第二届书画专业委员会学术年会会刊》、《盛世闪耀——书画宝鉴》、《非遗之光—传承人的故事》、大型文献史册《中华艺术史》、《国脉传承艺术名家》以及在《中国企业报》、《非遗文化》杂志等刊登书画作品。入编《东方艺魄国匠典藏录》出版个人专集:共和国荣耀《新质创作力书画名家杜素平作品精选》、百年巨匠·艺术典藏《民族艺术名家杜素平作品精选》。

Du Suoping, born in Shantou, Guangdong. Born in a scholarly family, he was influenced by his grandfather Hanzhang (graduated from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, one of the initiators of Lingdong Fine Arts Society) since childhood, and loved painting and calligraph. He often practiced and continuously improved, inheriting the family tradition. He has successively graduated from the first training class of the Chinese Painting Academy and the Jixiang Callraphy and Painting Academy. He studied under the teachers such as Ouyang Qingmo, Han Shan, Cheng Hua, and Ruo Ming. He studied under the third-generation inheritor of Qi Baishi, the master of Chinese painting, Li Shubao, the master of Chinese painting Yu Wanfu and Z Qiuchun, and Mr. Meng Zhaohuo. He is now a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the National Architecture Research Institute Calligraphy and Painting Art Professional Committee, a member of the Huaxia Guoyi (Beijing) Calligraphy and Painting Center, and a member of the Hong Kong Artists Association. In 2024, he was awarded the honorary title of "Invited Artist" by the editors of "Shining Century Calligraphy and Painting Treasure Mirror". In 2025, he was a member of the editorial committee of the "Intangible Heritage" editorial committee. His Chinese painting works have been included in the "National Spine - Contemporary Famous Calligraphers and Painters Fine Works Collection", "National Artists Going to the World", "The 23rd Chinese National Architecture Research Conference Proceedings", "The Second Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese National Architecture Research Institute Callraphy and Painting Professional Committee", "Shining Century - Calligraphy and Painting Treasure Mirror", "Intangible Light - The Story of the Initors", the large-scale documentary history "Chinese Art History", "National Pulse Inheritance Art Masters", and the calligraphy and painting works were published the "China Enterprise News" and the "Intangible Cultural Heritage" magazine. He was included in the "Oriental Art Spirit National Craftsman Collection" and published a collection: "Republic of China Glory New Quality Creativity Calligraphers and Painters Du Suoping Fine Works Selection", "Hundred Years Giant Art Collection National Art Du Suoping Fine Works Selection".
