They emphasized the extreme dedication behind the NT$900 million (about 200 million yuan) production, which features giant mechanical creatures and a 360° panoramic stage. Supporters criticized the complaints as reflecting "narrow aesthetic views", arguing that art should allow diverse forms of expression.

It is reported that hundreds of complaint letters have been submitted to cultural and tourism authorities as well as law enforcement departments in multiple regions.
